If anything ever illustrated perfectly the profound fear that many have of speaking in public, then it is this short video by educator Mikael Cho and directed by animator Robertino Zambrano of KAPWA Studioworks.

It perfectly captures the idea that stage fright is not an emotion, but a physiological response. It is something we adapt to, rather than overcome.

In their own words,

No matter how civilised you may seem, in parts of your brain you are still a wild animal, a profound, well-spoken animal.

Helpfully, they not only explain what is going on inside your brain but also give suggestions on how to calm your stage fright.
